Who We Are

Janet Fredericks is a visual artist, performer, teacher, and amateur naturalist. She has been a working, internationally exhibited fine artist for over fifty years. She has taught art at a number of colleges and in her studio in Lincoln, Vermont for many years.

She is the co-founder of Magicians Without Borders and has traveled and performed as her delightful mime character LaFleur in refugee camps and
orphanages in over forty countries. Her book, Mango Baskets and Rickshaw Blessings is a gorgeous compendium of images from her many
travels with Magicians Without Borders.

In workshops and retreats, Janet helps participants create art that explores and expresses their dreams and personal images in ways that enables them
to more deeply understand the movement of their lives.
Tom Verner is a Psychologist, College Professor, Magician and Author.  He is a trained Jungian therapist specializing in dreams and the author of The Transformational Power of Dreams.  He has taught Psychology at a number of colleges and Universities for thirty-five years. He also teaches courses and leads workshops and retreats on Jung, Dreams and Creativity at The Magic Circle Center.

He has also worked as a performing, professional magician for almost fifty years. With his wife Janet, he is the co-founder and president of the award-winning international organization, Magicians Without Borders. He has performed in forty-five countries for over a million refugee and orphan children. He has brought all of this skill and experience together in creating with Janet the virtual magic course, Become a Magician.
